To catch the latest multi-core architecture trend in Tablet market, Actions Semiconductor is proudly to present the whole new Tablet SoCs(System on Chip) – the OWL series, and the pioneer is ATM7029. 

As the 1st member of OWL family, TM7029 integrated Leopard Gen.I CPU core,which offers quad-core CPU performance and functionality with low power and low cost, and the Multi-core 3D GPU(Graphic Processing Unit) to provide the best user experience for customers. With the independent VPU(Video Processing Unit) and ISP(Image Signal Processing) engine integrated in ATM7029, user will enjoy the most fluent and high-performance video playback & recording experiences. 

In order to break the myth of “High Performance equals to High Power”, Actions also phased in the unique “LPD Gen. II”(Low Power Design Generation II)” and ADP(Adaptive Dynamic Power) architectures for OWL Series, which will bring customer the longer battery life while enjoying those high performance experiences. 

Not only blindly chasing the high performance and low power, Actions  always care about the total BOM(Bill of Material) Cost, which will reflect how much end user need to pay. ATM7029 has integrated LVDS interface and HDMI Tx(Transmitter), which have become the “must to have”features in Tablet market. Also, the DDR3/DDR3L controller and large capacity NAND Flash Controller with 60bit ECC/Toggle NAND supporting will allow the system markers and brand customers to adopt the most cost effective memory in the market.  Together with the in-house designed companion chip ATC2603X which has integrated the PMU(Power Management Unit) and Audio Codecs together, ATM7029 really makes the dream come true to provide end users the excellent performance Tablet with the most reasonable and affordable price.
